Eternal Cycle

Leyla Aghadiyeva was born in Baku in 2003. From 2018 to 2022, she studied Decorative Applied Art at the Art College under the Azerbaijan Academy of Fine Arts (ARA) and is now pursuing her bachelor’s degree in the same field at ARA.
At the symposium, Leyla Aghadiyeva presented a work entitled “Eternal Cycle.” The "Eternal Cycle” is an archetypal symbol combining water and nature — the two fundamental sources of life — in the form of a drop and a leaf. The drop embodies the planet’s memory and energy, while the leaf represents the Earth’s breath, the bearer of water and a symbol of balance, bringing renewal, growth, and purity.
The branch and wavy lines emerging from the drop symbolize invisible air currents of air, the breath of nature, and the vibrant rhythm of life. The iron material expresses strength, durability, and the human imprint on nature.
This sculpture becomes a silent dialogue between the four elements—water, air, earth, and metal— prompting viewers to reflect: How can one maintain this fragile balance? After all, the future of humanity lies hidden within the unity of these elements.”
